Basketball South Australia congratulations to all winners at the 2021 Referee Award dinner held on Sunday, 28 November. It was great to see more than 100 officials from our community come to get to support one another at this special event.
We welcomed new Participant Life Members, including Adam Gillings, Daniel Troy, Phil Haines, Luke Smith, Steve Greaves, Chris Clarke, James Griguol, Rod Ridley.
There were two new inductees into the Basketball SA Officials Platinum League, Phil Haines and Bill Reimann
We recognised two posthumous awards of merit, Bill Musserad and Ted Coomans.
A big congratulations to all SA Country Officials on a great year and we look forward to seeing your continued improvement next year. It’s fantastic to see so many officials making themselves available for our District Competitions.
A special mention goes out to Lachlan Coathupe who was selected to officiate the Boy’s Bronze Medal game at the U16 Australian Junior Championships. Unfortunately, Samantha, Bailey and Sam were unable to attend their respective Championships due to a change or cancellation of the event.

During the evening we presented our referees who passed the requirement for their next level of their officiating pathway at the 2021 Referee Camp. They were presented with their certificate of accreditations on the night. Well done!
It was a great event, with lots of new up and coming referees as well as our life members and legends in the room. Congratulations to all award winners and thank you for making it an enjoyable evening!
