Basketball SA invite suitable applicants to apply for the following staff positions for the 2023 High Performance Program and Ivor Burge Program for SA and SA Metro squads and teams

HIGH PERFORMANCE & IVOR BURGE PROGRAMS STAFF APPLICATIONS

Basketball SA is calling for applications for all staff positions to support the 2024 High Performance Program (SA and SA Metro teams) and Ivor Burge Program (SA Teams).


We require suitably qualified staff in coaching, medical and support positions that can deliver the highest quality of service to players, coaches, staff and supporters.

Notes:

(1) SPP – State Team Head Coach will be given the option of being the EADP – ECC Squad Coach.

(2) SPP – State Team Assistant Coach will be given the option of being one the EADP – ECC Team Coaches.

(3) SPP – State Team Manager will be given the option of being the EADP – ECC Squad Manager.

(4) SCC Team Mentor Head Coach will be the head coach with the view of mentoring the assistant coach(es) and overseeing the execution of the SA EADP system of play with the team. These coaches will have previous success as a head coach at AJC / professional / semi-professional levels.

(5) SCC Team Assistant Coach will be a developing coach who is aiming to be a future SPP coach. They will assist the Mentor Head Coach and be given coaching responsibilities relative to their current level.

(6) State Team Head Coaches may be required to interview and present their plan for the team to the State Team Coach Selection Panel.

Please note:

  • All coaches must meet the SA District Coach registration requirements policy. To view policy, please click here. 
  • Coaches, Team Managers and Physiotherapists must have a current DCSI Check or be willing to obtain one (without charge) when selected.
  • Applicants for coaching positions with a potential conflict of interest (e.g. parents with children eligible for team selection) are ineligible to apply.
