In conjunction with the South Australian Wheelchair Basketball Association (SAWBA), Basketball South Australia is proud to promote the Wheelchair competition
Wheelchair is a reverse-inclusion social competition, welcoming people without disabilities to the challenge of participating in activities traditionally designed for those with disabilities
Wheelchair Basketball is a fun sport that anyone who can push a manual wheelchair can play! You don’t have to have a disability.
It is a fantastic option for players that have retired due to injury, or for family and friends of a disabled person to have an activity you can do together!
Come and Try and beginner sessions held Tuesdays at the Lights from 5.30pm. Chairs are available to borrow.
Ready for a full game? Join the social competition Tuesdays at the Lights.
Wheelchair basketball has similar rules to able-bodied basketball and the same court specifications. Wheelchair also provides opportunities for more experienced and skilled players to compete at National Level at the Kevin Coombs Cup Championships.
