Basketball South Australia (SA) is currently accepting applications to join our casual pool of SSO’s.
The SSO is the face of Basketball SA in our stadiums and the first point of contact for our members. SSO’s play a critical role in referee and game management, and you will be provided with training in both of these areas.
To be successful in this role you must be a team player! You need good communication and customer service skills, be friendly, approachable, and have a genuine desire to help and support players, coaches, referees and spectators to ensure everyone can enjoy the game of basketball.
If you are a current player, a student, or just looking for some extra work in the evenings, we would love to hear from you. Shifts are available weeknights and Saturday mornings in multiple stadiums throughout the Adelaide Metropolitan Region and we can fit them in around your current basketball or other commitments.

Basketball South Australia is searching for a driven and experienced High‑Performance coach who is ready to make a meaningful impact on men’s basketball in South Australia. This role offers the opportunity to lead a state‑wide performance pathway, working with talented athletes and coaches in a progressive, high‑performance setting.
As the Performance Pathways Lead (Men’s) you will play an integral role in designing and delivering a program that empowers young athletes to excel off the court, helping them reach their potential on the court. You will be a key leader of the South Australian basketball community and be fundamental in driving the development of our athletes.
You will:
Plan and coordinate the delivery of the National Performance Program (NPP), State Performance Program (SPP) and Emerging Athlete Development Program (EADP) and all activities associated with them.
Organise, coordinate, support, administer and deliver all underpinning Development Program events (e.g., Under 13, 14 Camps and Under 12 Skill Days) each year.
Connect engage and tell the story of Basketball South Australia’s High-Performance program.
Demonstrate continuous improvement across all areas of the High-Performance program.
Work closely and strategically with Basketball Australia’s High-Performance program and pathways.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring leader, with a focus on developing individuals and fostering a high-performance culture. They will be confident in demonstrating their technical, tactical, and social understanding of athletes.
With relevant basketball experience, proven coaching ability and strong organisational and planning skills, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Performance Pathways team.
