Purpose: The purpose of the 2024 Referee camp is to provide current Referees of all levels the chance to commence accreditation sessions over a slightly extended period which allows for extra training & education to be delivered by State & Community level Referee Coaches & Educators.
On-court sessions – Suitable for all existing Referees
Thursday, 10th October 2024 | 6pm – 9.30pm In-game Referee coaching on Junior District League games at various metro venues
Friday, 11th October 2024 | 6pm – 10pm In-game Referee coaching on Junior District League games at various metro venues
Saturday, 12th October 2024 | From 8.00am In-game Referee coaching on Junior District League games at various metro venues
Upon registration, please email referees@basketballsa.com.au if you have any specific times, you are unavailable to be rostered to games.
Please note, the Referee roster will be sent by email & also uploaded to Refbook for confirmation.
Off-court sessions – Suitable for all existing Referees
Including the following:
– Adaptability as a Referee
– 2PO & 3PO mechanics
– Clip analysis during video review sessions
– Introduction to 3×3
– FIBA 2024 rule changes
– Communication strategies
– Points of emphasis 2024/25
Saturday, 12th October | 12pm – 5pm | Lightsview Sports Centre
Sunday, 13th October | 9am – 2pm | State Basketball Centre
